What a sight for a knave
Marvel of a bygone age
The pediments, the architrave
Housing gods, built by slaves
What if we tried psychedelia?
So scared of being dull in life it borders on hysteria
Experience made chemical, amass paraphernalia
Ingest a risk to mental health for a moment of euphoria
Though it's changed, nothing's changed
Swap the lumber, still the same
The lion dogs, the shinto gate
Sacred shrines rebuilt over time
Well I did try psychedelia
Every cell I've ever had will be replaced
The interior
of my head is not the same, but still the same
Waiting in the darkness for a moment of euphoria
Behold!
The tide that destroys your sandcastle shapes a new coast
Or something heavy handed to that effect
Scrawled in black biro on black serviette

Power Armour

All their words and all their arrows
Fall too short
A corpse in their throats
And stones that roll promise a future
Rocks that stop
They grow a cancer
I make no move unless you
Move through me
Take my arm and put it to use
Use my tongue use all my body
Don't want to act unless you
Make me

Hurt Me

If you want to hurt me
If you want to hurt me
This morning I'll be a ballerina lightning queen
Pirouetting amongst the roots of the laser tree
If you want to hurt me
If you want to hurt me
This evening I'll be a woman and a man
Coupling lazily on a windy hill in South Sudan
First albino on space TV (I'll be)
Burglar startled by a baby's scream
Disgraced Byzantine athlete
Ancestor's bones in Wayland's Smithy
If you want to hurt me
If you want to hurt me
Unarmoured, unsheath
Petal, snowflake, stinger of a bee
If you want to hurt me
If you want to hurt me
Tonight I'll be a piglet shivering in a crate
I waited up for mummy, but now it's getting late
Know just where and when I'll be
If you want to hurt me
If you want to hurt me

Doggerland Pt. 1

This is a man's world
Nothing, nothing like the man I wanna be
We gotta, gotta get going, gotta go, gotta get out
Here seems a cruel land. One we might escape, lets leave it in our wake
Gazes of apathy from those shackled to the clock
Blaze an urgent trail past the fringes of the map
What we need is
A fixed star to navigate by, still I
Hold an elaborate pose
Within an elaborate pose
She said
The future was invented to ruin the present
That a fixed idea is a death sentence,
Is a full stop that needs to stop.
We drained the drink
From Doggerland
And moved
But the ground was a swamp
Our hut sank and sank
They wondered and they gathered without fear of their mother
Until the 8.2 came
They tucked their little ones in at night
. . .
It wasn't called the Hudson Bay
And call me
Don't know where I'll be
British Atlantis wasn't all it's cracked up to be
Out searching for a refuge
Not asking for Elysian Fields
How long can we keep roaming
Till greater forces sweep (The moon sure looks nice)
Us (Living in all that black and white)
Away (Or gold, some forbidden city)
Fragile as Christmas Island Crabs
Call me
Don't know where I'll be
Heard you had a villa in Italy (We saw light from a bunker)
Maybe I can see it (10 days out into tundra)
From this (We found it wholly barren)
Space station (Except a spinning disco ball)
I'm living in

I stood and watched
The dinosaur
Exhibit in
The shopping mall
The morning I
Finished school
There is hope
But not for us
A little ghost
All tired and lost
Slips through furniture
And I turned to girls
And I turned to spells
And I turned to drink
And one day my ship will come in
I've been working this case so long that I can't see straight anymore

Kissing Brighton, UK
Kissing make retrofuturistic songs arranged for two singers and a blend of synthesizers with folk
instruments.
When we play live, we use ritualistic gestures, dance, and playful homespun stagecraft to conjure up a tender realm.
Kissing are both non-binary. We like to undercut the classic macho coolness of rock bands, switching it for a perspective that’s altogether softer and queerer.
